Perfect Hot Chocolate I purchased this after having used the Mr. Coffee Cocomotion for several years prior. It was basically the same thing but primarily white, and did not include the tray to put chocolate pieces into. This version performs similarly to the awesome Cocomotion, but I really like the added bonus of having the tray to help mix chocolate into the hot chocolate. I also prefer the aesthetics of the black exterior.All you have to do is put in your desired amount of cocoa mix into here (I like it THICK), add water to the desired measuring line (I typically aim for 1 line per person being served, up to a max of 4 people per batch), and hit the start button. It takes maybe around five minutes for a typical batch to finish heating and mixing.What I really love about this is it heats the hot chocolate to the perfect temperature. Not fires-of-hell-scalding-hot like many coffee makers, but hot enough that it’s just barely too hot to drink at first, so you can add whipped cream…
Just as good as the old Cocomotion Mr. Coffee Made I had the old Cocomotion machine that Mr. Coffee made for years but then the motor finally went out one day. I’ve been looking for a replacement for about a year now when I came across this on Amazon. It’s almost as good as the old version but the Cocomotion really whipped the milk or water really well. This one is not as good. Hence the 4 star review. Based on the instructions included, there was a part that you could order that would help with whipping but I can’t find it anywhere and this version didn’t come with that. I wish that I could find that somewhere.Otherwise, still makes a great cup of hot chocolate or even to just heat up some milk or water on it’s own. Still easy to clean but you have to be careful with getting water on the bottom like the Cocomotion. I usually follow up with water and dish soap in another cycle to clean it.It was cool to have the basket to use whole chocolate pieces too. Totally melted once the machine turned off…
This is perfect as a water warmer for baby bottles! I’ve used this a few times for hot chocolate, and it also works great for that, but the majority of the time I use this to heat up water that I then add to my daughters bottles. It’s more convenient than the microwave, and I can easily test it while its heating so I can turn it off before it’s too hot. I was looking into buying a formula bottle maker machine (similar to a coffee maker but for bottles) and they were SO expensive. I stumbled across this and it’s a life saver! When I do use it for hot chocolate, I love that it heats up really fast, and gets very hot! (I hate warm hot chocolate).
